PATHOGEN AND PREDATORS MORTALITY OF TASAR SILKWORM, ANTHERAEA MYLITTA IN AMBIKAPUR SURGUJA DISTRICT CHHATTISGARH

Abstract

During three year countineous from 2017-2020 the observation of Pathogenic mortality at larval stages caused significantly high (7.1-26.91%). Among the Pathogenic mortality viral Pathogens were Prominent and causing high mortality (3.09-13.24%) then the bacterial Pathogen (4.01-13.11%). The highest Predators mortality was recorded during cycle III in the year 2019-20 It was 32.27% and lowest mortality 3% was recorded during II in the year 2018-19. Among the Predators mortality the vertebrate Pest infestation is higher during III cycle in the year 2018-19 and It was 16.53% .The infestation of wasp was low during Cycle III in each year but highest infestation was recorded during cycle II in the year 2018-19 followed by Pest sting bug (4.3%) during same year. This study indicates that, the Pathogenic and the Predators mortality was more Prominent in sericulture department Ambikapur District Surguja Chhattisgarh.
